Trillium rivale


Through spring Trillium rivale BROOK WAKE ROBIN produces white to pale pink blooms with delicately spotted throats. Blooming for generally around a month in Spring, but in the right spot they are long lived and can flower for a longer period. A clump forming perennial that will bring joy year after year.

A long-lived Woodland plant

Trilliums as a whole are very long-lived, with claims that they will outlast the gardener as they grow for 70 years or more and get better every season (unlike the gardener..) Trillium rivale BROOK WAKE ROBIN is a truly stunning addition that will perform easily in any Dappled Light/Woodland situation.

– Width: 50cm approx.
– Position: Partial Shade, Woodland as well as Dappled Sun.
– Soil: Prefers a consistently moist but well drained, organically rich soil.

– Fragrance: A slight kind of spicy-musty odour that attracts flies to pollinate.

– Attracts: Bees as well as other beneficial pollinators.

– Care: Very low maintenance. Can dead head flower stems when spent if desired but not necessary.
– Deer & Rabbit resistant: Both tend to steer clear of this plant because they find the glossy growth unpalatable.
– Origin: Native to the Siskiyou Mountains of Southern Oregon and Northern California.
