Description
This came to us also named as Thalictrum kiusianum, and we believe it is a taller, larger leaved strain of T. kiusianum. The flowers are larger fluffballs, more lavender-pink, the leaves are larger, and the flowers stand further above the foliage on dark wiry stems. Forms a close-knit carpet 20cm high x 45cm wide approximately. Also an excellent groundcover in gardens with dappled shade to well-lit full shade cover. Frost hardy, tolerates summer humidity happily. Thrives in soil with plenty of humus. Rabbit and deer resistant.
Covered in summer with lilac-pink fluffballs sitting just above the foliage mat. A ground-covering carpet of dainty, rounded leaves with the delicate look of Maidenhair. Fortunately it is a much tougher little critter, that can happily grow in a wide range of conditions. Tolerates summer humidity happily, as it is a native of shaded woodlands in southern Japan.
