Teucrium betonicum

MADEIRA BETONY

Lovely rare plant from Madeira. Worth growing as a foliage plant alone with its large, soft, velvety sage green, scallop-edged leaves. During Spring and Summer, it goes beautifully ballistic with a mass of purple-violet spikes with prominent stamens. These are held upright well above the foliage all over the plant. Teucrium betonicum MADEIRA BETONY is easy and carefree mainly because it is tolerant of drought and frost. Plant in soil that is well drained in Full Sun or Partial Shade. Will enjoy an occasional water once established.
