DWARF VARIEGATED COMFREY

A stunning colour foliage highlight in a shaded garden. Sprays of sky blue and white tubular nodding flowers in spring and summer, really shine over leaves of soft butter and lime. Symphytum ibericum ‘Goldsmith’ is ideal under trees and shrubs, seen to perfection as an under tree mass planting in the grand gardens of Bowral. Can take Deep Shade and tough going in poor soil. Tolerates dry periods well. Will grow in Full Sun, but the glowing foliage may scorch – so best grown in Part Shade or Dappled Sun, to Full Shade, where it really lights up gloomy spots. 60cm. sprays of flower.

Low, thick, weed suppressing foliage carpet. Frost hardy & very low care. A really tough plant that provides beautiful foliage highlights all year round, as well as very pretty spring – summer flowers. Leaves useful as a beneficial addition to compost to help activate the compost heat.
