Silene uniflora ‘Robin Whitebreast’

Features low cushions of smooth, lance-shaped, light green leaves. Silene uniflora ‘Robin Whitebreast’ is a spreading, mat-forming perennial. It produces 30cm flower stems with white, double flowers and split calyxes.

Beautiful trailing or hanging

Rock gardens, rock walls and border fronts. It is also good for running over the sides of containers.


Growing: Silene uniflora ‘Robin Whitebreast’

– Height with flowers: 30cm approx.
– Width: 40cm spread approx.
– Position: Full Sun or Partial Shade.
– Soil: Prefers rich and well-drained soil but is not to fussy as long as it isn’t heavy or too consistently wet.

– Growth: Herbaceous Perennial.
– Attracts: Bees, butterflies as well as other beneficial pollinators.

– Care:
Easy/low care, although spent flowers may be removed to keep a tidy plant and promote new growth.
– Deer & Rabbit resistant: Not first choice for these nibbling pests.
– Origin: Silene uniflora is a maritime species, Although on the rare occasion it occurs naturally in the mountains of Britain. It is native and almost confined to Iceland, the Atlantic and Baltic Sea coasts of western Europe, Also Madeira and the Azores.
