Delicious is all you can say. Burgundy buds unfurl to frosty wine pink blooms, then mature to deep claret colours. As it is so long blooming there is always a mix of red wine shades on the plant, including on the evergreen (or ever-wine coloured) foliage. The foliage makes it a garden beauty all year round with shades of blue and wine red, as well as shiraz coloured stems. Blooms a little later than the others, but continues with flower heads almost beyond spring. The flowers are held in big bunches well above the leaves, and look boldly out. No nodding shrinking violet here. Deep Shade to ½ Shade. 25cm. Rabbit resistant. Frost hardy.
