Actaea cordifolia

Tall flower spikes are very impressive, as they are made up of many tiny creamy-white florets.
They also have a sweet and spicy fragrance.
Plus the large, lobed leaves form a nice clump of deep green foliage below the flowers, so the whole clump provides excellent texture, colour and fragrance when blooming during late summer and early autumn.
Actaea cordifolia CREAM SNAKE ROOT is a low maintenance, hardy, long lived perennial that works well in ½ shaded or dappled shade garden. It is also perfect for damp or poorly drained soils.
(See “Growing” section below for plant details and how to grow)

Easy to grow

Actaea cordifolia CREAM SNAKE ROOT will tolerate more sun, if regularly watered.
It is an ideal plant for the mid to back of border with an exotic appearance.
And it can fill a gap in the garden nicely with tall and imposing summer flower spires, plus handsome foliage. Actaea is stunning when grown in groups of 3, although single plants have good specimen value once established.
